This is the collection of modifications I have done to my 2002 Camaro Z28. Not all of them are really simple but anyone who can work on a car should be able to duplicate them. I am slowly building this site so over time I will add graphics and improve the layout but for now I am working mainly on getting the content on here. I purchased a Tazzo performance computer to see what the car was capable of due to the closest 1/4 mile drag strip being a 4 hour one way drive to get to. When the car was completely stock it managed a best of 13.38 at 108mph in a quarter with a 2.1 second 60ft.
My Current Modifications are:
- TCI Streetfighter 3000RPM Stall Converter
- New Airlid
- Crankcase Evac kit instead of PCV valve
- No DRL lights
- Bypass the throttle body heat
- Cut open the bottom of the airbox to improve airflow
- Manual radiator fan switch.
- Gutted Catalytic converters + rear O2 simulator
- Lower Control Arm Relocation brackets welded in.
- GM Performance Parts ASA Camshaft
- Sweet Thunder 3 inch muffler with stock muffler removed
- Goodyear Eagle GS-D3 tires
Currently the best time I have run so far is 8.27@86mph in the 1/8 mile driving to the track full weight with no
changes.
